Report of Holy Ghost Congress,
15th-20th Dec, 2003
Held in redemption Camp, Km
46, Lagos/Ibadan Expressway. Nigeria
Introduction
It is not intended to give a
“blow-by-blow” account of the above event for a number of reasons:
The notes of the Morning and
Evening sessions are indeed available, but it would not be beneficial
trying to summarize these. What would one gain when an anointed message
of 30-90 minutes. is reduced to a handful of bullet points?
Writing them out in full will
be tedious for one to faithfully plow through and absorb. How many of
our people are faithful in reading books to the end?
The tapes (a mixture of
audio/video/video—CD) are there for those who want to catch up with at
least the main parts of the Evening Sessions. The listener/watcher can
partake in not only the main messages, but also in the
prophetic prayers and pronouncements as well as the words
of knowledge the Lord sent to the participants in the Congress. It
is suggested interested persons should indicate to the RCCG HM Office so
the Technical Team can arrange for the copying. Currently available with
me are:
à “I
shall weep no more”, Tuesday, 16/12/03 (Video Tape)
à “You
shall know the Truth”/”My God shall arise”, Thurs 18/12/03 (Video Tape,
as well as 2 Video-CDs)
à “A
new Song”, Friday 19/12/03 (Audio Tape)
à “I
am anointed to serve”, Sat. 20/12/03 (Audio Tape)
Pastor Ibrahim Abarshi
probably has with him the Video Tapes covering
“It is well with me”, Mon.
15/12/03, as well as the record of when the Holy Spirit changed the
Program on Wednesday. the 17th of Dec. The message slated for
that day, “My fruits shall be special”, was never preached.
The tape covering the Sunday
Morning Thanksgiving Service, was never obtained as the last big
dispersal followed immediately after the Service.
It is believed the Technical
Team charge around Euro 2.50 for Audio and possibly Euro 10 for Video
tapes. In practice the idea of “watch and pass on to me” never goes
beyond the second or at most the third step.
We shall now cover a few
points that struck one.
1.
Arrival at Lagos
The Protocol Team was
initially difficult to locate. But they were there to receive primarily
the Vinesong Team with their massive equipment. The latter plus some
Americans and self squeezed into the Toyota Coaster Bus en route to the
Camp. There we were indeed expected.
It is advisable that one
arrives there on the Saturday before the Congress. One can only guess
that by Sunday/Monday when the arrivals become a flood, there is the
danger one could become one of the “headaches” of the Protocol Team. The
latter could do with a PC-based system, though they had paper, radios
and mobile phones to work with.
And to really avoid all the
hassles, it is advisable to go as a member of the official delegation
from a foreign country. That way you get provided with transportation,
accommodation and food free of charge, as well as preferential seating
at the Arena. But get the information/itinerary to the Headquarters by
fax at least 3 weeks beforehand.
Leaving the Camp at the end of
the Congress to the Airport is easily organized via the Protocol Team.
2. The Ambience
When you arrive at the Camp,
which is a growing City in its rights, you immediately get the feeling
that the atmosphere is different. Though full of people and activities,
it is calm, quiet and purposeful. Many of the people there have come to
seek God – and His presence seems to pervade the atmosphere. You know He
is there. There is order, because He Who is not the author of confusion
is present.
How else do you explain the
phenomenon that several thousands of Nigerians queue up at the end of
each Evening Program for hours, till may be 03.00-04.00 hrs or even
later each morning, waiting in an orderly file to enter the fleet of
buses that take them from the Arena to the Express Road? No fighting, no
hassle, and no human law and order enforcer is in-charge.
The power and water supply,
provided by the Camp, worked. Yes, power did go off a few times during
the day, but you are talking of outages that were generally under a
minute at a time.
The garbage collection worked,
the Camp buses worked, the streets were watered a number of times to
keep the dust under control. And between Monday and Saturday of the
week, some 10 boys and 9 girls were born in the Camp Hospital
facilities.
3.
Corporate Prayers
All the Pastors (probably over
1000) prayed for an hour with The GO before each Evening’s Program
commenced, and again prayed with him at the end of each day’s Program.
It would appear the Nigerian Pastors fasted to the end of each day’s
Program – but the Visitors could eat all day! One of the American
Pastors reported seeing the GO in the mornings praying over the Arena
grounds. Great emphasis was laid on prayers, as through this avenue,
when on his own, the GO is able to hear from the Lord and pass on His
word to us.
4.
The Individual Attendees.
It was pretty evident most, if
not everyone present, came there to seek the Lord for their individual
needs. It was not a case of “attending a Conference to gain some fresh
insight into this or that”. It was closer to the experience of Jacob in
Gen. 32: 22-30. When one is away from the regular pressures of daily
life, away from the news media, and in the ambiance described above, it
would be most unfortunate if the individual does not spend his time with
God – in His word and prayer, seeking His face, direction, a fresh
anointing for His calling, etc. The Congress can indeed fit into an
annual retreat to re-charge oneself, and is recommended to all our
people from this perspective.
5.
Innovation in the Daily Program.
In order to “add works to our
faith”, Afternoon Sessions were added in the last Congress. These were
Talk/Discussions which tackled

of small scale farming
Wednesday, 17/12/03

Opportunities in Nigeria
These parallel sessions were
led by men and women with proven track records in the different areas.
Praise and Worship of 15 mins was followed by a one hour
Talk/Discussion, and rounded up by a 15 mins Offering time.
We should be more determined
in pursuing these matters as applicable in our environment.
6.
Some areas we definitely could learn from
The GO castigated us for our
tardiness in the area of Protocol at Eurocon 2003. Having seen the
efficiency of the various Teams at the Congress – the Protocol including
the drivers under them, the Ushers, the Security, the Prayer Warriors,
the Children’s Teachers, the Choirs, the Engineers of various
disciplines, the Medical Doctors and Nurses/Midwives, the TV Crew, the
Caterers, the Pastors and Mummy GO – I believe we should encourage our
Belgian brethren to be there in sufficient numbers in Dec 2004 to learn
what they can against Eurocon 2005. Holland Mission will also improve if
we take the trouble to study how they have achieved such unbelievable
efficiency in handling mammoth crowds
7.
Remember the Multitude
Many of those who came could
hardly find a decent place to lay their heads during the week. And
feeding was from their personal resources too. Inevitably some could
hardly afford the funds to go home at the end of the Congress. Be on the
look out, and be prepared to be used of the Lord to meet such and other
needs He may bring your way.
8. Sample Words of Knowledge,
Prophetic Pronouncements and an Evening Message.
Please see
www.rccg.org with respect to the 15th
of Dec.
It is highly recommended you
get hold of the tapes so you can actually catch a lot more than is
contained in these notes. That way you can personalize and pray into
your life the words of knowledge, the prophetic pronouncements and the
messages

Monday 15/12/03
Prophetic
Pronouncements
Miracles of Day 1 à Gen. 1:1-5
-
The Spirit of God moved (=brooded or overshadowed)
à
The same Spirit of God
that moved Samson to be a terror to his enemies will move you to-night
and you will become a terror to your enemies.
à
The same Spirit that
overshadowed Mary making the impossible possible in her life will
overshadow you to-night to make all impossibilities possible in your
life.
-
God spoke.
à
God will speak to you
to-night.
à
He is already saying to
you. “It is well with you”.
-
God said, “Let there be light, and there was light.”
à
So, beginning from now,
in every facet of your life, there will be light.
à
Beginning from today,
end has come to darkness in your life.
-
God separated the light from the darkness.
à
God will from today
relocate and put a separation between darkness and yourself.
-
God called the light day.
à
Jesus said we are the
light of the world. So we are “day”. So from now on, darkness will never
come into your life again.
The
Evening Message
It is well with Me
God establishes what we say
with our mouth. So you now go ahead to pronounce, “It is well with me.
It is well with my family. It is well with …” (You know the areas you
want to make these pronouncements in your life. Go ahead and do so.)
Isa. 3:10: “Tell the
righteous, it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of
their deeds.”
The forgiven are the
righteous. All the saved are the righteous, and God says, “It will be
well with you.” It is well with me. That is my song henceforth.
Now that my sins are gone, the
cause of trouble is gone. Isa 59:1-2. The separation between God and
myself is gone. Therefore it will be well with me as there is no more
obstruction.
à
No more obstruction to
healing, Mark 2:1-12. To the paralyzed man, Jesus first removed the
obstruction, sin, and then the man could be healed.
à
Every obstruction to
our progress is gone. Rom. 8:31. No one can be against us when God is
with us. The progress hinderers in our lives are gone henceforth. Rom.
8:37, “…we are more than conquerors through Him Who loved us.” All our
enemies are in serious trouble because, with our sins gone, God is with
us.
à
No obstruction to our
success with our sins gone. There is no more obstruction between God and
ourselves. Phil. 4:13 means we shall never fail again – in business,
exams, marriage, ministry. Henceforth anyone I preach to will be
born-again.
à
No longer any
obstruction to my fruitfulness. John 15:5. Much fruit will result from
my abiding in Christ, and His word abiding in me. All barren women, get
ready for twins. All who are barren in other areas of life will, after
this Congress, sing a new song.
à
No longer any
obstruction to my peace of mind. Psalm 27:1. I do not have anyone to
fear henceforth. God will take them on. Fear is gone,
à
No more obstruction to
my prayers. Psalm 66:18. With my sins gone, when I pray, God will hear
me. God says if I ask anything in His Name, He will do it. With no more
obstruction to my prayers, the way is now open for me to ask and receive
this week. (Note that the Lord had assured the GO earlier that any
prayers said during the course of the Congress will be answered.)
Having been forgiven, I am to
sin no more. In John 5: 1-15, the paralyzed man healed by the Lord after
38 years, was later asked by the Lord not to sin any more, or he could
suffer something worse. So do not annoy God again. With Him as my
friend, then it is well with me. Mountains and the devil will move at my
word.
But if I annoy God, He becomes
my enemy. As He is found everywhere, He will be against me everywhere I
turn.
Words of Knowledge
à
The Lord says there is
someone here with a shaky hand. The Lord has stilled it.
à
Someone here has a
restriction on the eating of pepper, while another has a restriction on
the eating of salt. The Lord has lifted the restrictions in both cases.
à
There is someone with a
stiff back, with an invisible rod put there by the enemy. The Lord has
removed the rod/stiffness.
à
There is someone here
that should have reached your goal but slowed down by unusual
circumstances. The Lord will quicken your steps.
à
There is someone here
to whom the Lord says, ”You will never miss your step in life again.”
à
A Visitor of joy will
come to your house.
